Random Complications coming to Complicate It

I’ve started work on the next update for Complicate It!

This version will introduce Random Complications!

You will be able to input several phrases for the app to randomly choose from. The complication will be refreshed every hour, ensuring that you get something new all the time!

This update has the potential to be a lot of fun. I’ve still got some ideas that I haven’t decided quite yet whether or not to implement on this one or not.

Stay tuned!

  1. Hey, if you are looking for votes on features, I would like this, I think it would be fun.

I found your app today, I really like the idea.
I unfortunately haven’t got it to work, when I try setting a message it tells me that I have to install it on my watch first.

I like the idea though, so I’m going to keep it installed, and hope that it works some time.

It may help to uninstall the app and try again. Unfortunately, Apple Watch is still very new, so it’s prone to bugs like this one. Another step to take if this doesn’t work is to un-pair your watch from your phone, re-pair them, and try again.

I’m sorry I can’t offer much more help… The error you’re facing has to do with the connection between your phone and watch!

  2. I upgraded to 1.30 in the past few days and have found that “Complicate It” no longer displays any text (or could be that it is only displaying black text on a black background) on any style of watch face. I’ve uninstalled, both on my iPhone 6s and my watch, multiple times. I’ve restarted both devices multiple times. All of my attempts at resolving the issue have been to no avail. When the application is installed, it does appear to make a connection between watch and iPhone successfully, although, nothing is displayed on the watch face, with the exception of the “TAP” when changing watch faces or customizing watch faces. Almost immediately after selecting a watch face, the “TAP” disappears, regardless of tapping in the general vicinity, or in opening the watch app, or any interaction on the iPhone app.

I love the app, but it does no good when it won’t display. :'(

Let me know what I can do to further troubleshoot with you.

I’m aware of the bugs. I have already fixed them and submitted an update to the App Store. Right now, we’re just waiting for Apple the review the update so that it can be released. It usually takes about a week to get an update approved. So hang in there; it’ll be fixed very soon!
